Who Am I?

My name is Megan Lawrence, and for the longest time, I didn’t know who I was. Being able to answer that question with confidence is a big step for me, and if you choose to keep reading, and follow my journey, you will find out exactly why.

So, who am I?

  • I am a daughter,
  • I am a friend,
  • I am a human,
  • I am an addict,
  • I am giving,
  • I am an athlete,
  • I am an accountant,
  • I am a writer,
  • I am tattooed and employed,
  • I am loyal,
  • I am responsible,
  • I am tarnished,
  • I am recovering,
  • I am still figuring myself out.

If I had to summarize who I am, I would tell you that I am a flawed individual, but I am filled with good intentions. I have discovered my weaknesses, my poisons, my strengths, and my purpose. I have hit many highs, and I have fallen into some very deep lows. The one thing I am grateful for the most is the fact that I am alive, and I am determined to make the most of that.

So, are you wondering why I created this site?

I would be more than willing to explain below!

What Am I doing?

My goal is simple:

I want people to find the strength within what they have to say, what they have been through, and who it is they have become because of it. I started sharing my journey with the world back in 2014, and I am so happy that I did. Since starting to post my words through Instagram, I have learned that we all just want to be heard, and too many of us believe that no one is willing to listen. That just simply is not true, and we are doing ourselves an injustice by staying quiet about the things that want to be let out.

So, what am I doing about it?

I am offering an opportunity for people to share their side of the story. I am creating a place for people to go when they can't figure out the answers for themselves. I am looking for those individuals that feel "lost" and I want to show them a place where they can be found. For so long I felt alone in this world, that is, until I started opening up about who I am, and accepting the things that I couldn't change. I want to be a part of something so much bigger than myself, and I want you to be a piece of that as well.

I started this page because regardless of, if you are healing, in the process of healing, or possibly already healed, I want this to be a safe place for anyone to go when they just need a reminder that they are not alone.

With that said, I hope you will share your story with me, and allow it to help those who need to hear it as well. You never know how many lives you could be saving... including your own.

Thank you for stopping by,

Megan ❤️

I never claimed to be anyone but myself. I have survived the worst of who I am, and I have yet to experience the best parts of who I know I can be. Every day is a new chance for me to become better than yesterday, and every day that we are given is something to be grateful for.
